Azamara Quest will sail to Cuba as part of its March 21 'Azaleas, Bourbon Street and Havana' voyage, round-trip Miami. The 13-night program features an overnight in Havana, along with stops at Key West, Tampa and New Orleans (two overnights).
In time, Azamara Club Cruises said, it looks to add additional ports in Cuba to several itineraries.
'Cuba has been a destination on our radar for years and being one of the first cruise lines to bring American guests to this amazing country is an important offering that will resonate in a real way with our loyal guests,' Azamara president and CEO Larry Pimentel said.
As part of the line’s Land Discovery offerings, travelers will have a selection of experiences to choose from while in Havana that are aimed at providing meaningful and engaging interactions with Cubans.
They include 'Hemingway’s Havana,' exploring the connections between the novelist and Cuba on a four-hour tour that offers the chance to see where he lived, fished, dined and sipped his favorite cocktails. 'Old Havana City Sightseeing' includes
fortresses, government buildings, historic squares, notable cemeteries and an artisan market. Participants will visit Morro Castle, La Cabaña, El Capitolio and more.
The 'Best of Havana Eight-Hour Tour' explores the city’s sprawling cemetery, a notable square, artsy neighborhood, artisan market and literary connections, with an authentic Cuban meal.
The Cuba voyage is open for booking today via Azamara's call center (1-877-999-9553) and, starting Saturday, online at www.AzamaraClubCruises.com.
