Disney's Hollywood Studios getting name change

Disney's Hollywood Studios has been undergoing a transition of sorts, with new attractions and the recent removal of the iconic sorcerer's hat in front of the Great Movie Ride. Now, it appears the park will soon be getting a new name.

When a young boy inquired about the park at the Walt Disney Co.'s annual shareholder meeting, Disney CEO Bob Iger slipped plans for the yet to be announced name change.

"We used to be MGM Studios, we changed to Hollywood Studios and we're doing some significant work there right now that I guess will result in a name change," Iger answered. "Now we can announce that. It's not been announced, right? No?" He continued, "We'll announce that we're changing the name, but we won't announce what we're changing it to. How's that?"

Disney re-branded the Hollywood-themed park in 2008.

Also on Thursday, Disney announced there will be a sequel to the hit film "Frozen" and a new Star Wars movie to be released in 2017.
