The American Queen Steamboat Company has announced details for its Fall Colors voyages, which kick off this September.

The Fall Colors itineraries in the Upper Mississippi Valley include:

St. Paul, MN to St. Louis (Alton, IL) September 19 – 27

This cruise down the Mississippi includes stops in Red Wing, MN, La Crosse, WI, Dubuque, Quad Cities, and Burlington, IA, and Hannibal, MO, before reaching its final destination of St. Louis. The voyage offers hop-on hop-off tours of some of America’s oldest museums, theaters, churches, and gardens.

St. Louis (Alton, IL) to St. Paul, MM September 26 – October 4

This voyage explores small towns that are rich in American history such as Hannibal, MO, the hometown of literary icon Mark Twain. Guests can tour the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum as well as the Mark Twain Cave Complex, a registered national natural landmark since 1972.

St. Paul, MN to St. Louis (Alton, IL) October 3 – 11

On this voyage, Kelly Lao, the assistant director of the German American Heritage Center, will be onboard to educate and entertain guests on all things “Oktoberfest”. Guests onboard this voyage will also have the opportunity to take a lesson in polka dancing and enjoy performances by polka band Brian Brueggen’s Mississippi Valley Dutchmen.

St. Louis (Alton, IL) to Nashville (Clarksville, TN) October 10 – 18

As the American Queen heads for the hills of Tennessee, it stops to admire nature’s handiwork in several ports along the way, such as Grafton and Chester, IL, Cape Girardeau, MO, Paducah, KY, and Dover and Clarksville, TN.

The nine-day Fall Colors Voyages fares begin at $2,699 per person based on double occupancy and $1,999 for singles or single staterooms. All journeys include a one-night pre-voyage hotel stay, shore tours in all ports, complimentary wine and beer with dinner and other amenities.
