The American Queen Steamboat Company invites guests to enjoy the holiday season aboard the elegant American Queen as it travels along the Lower Mississippi River beginning this Thanksgiving lasting through the New Year.

Surrounded by southern history and culture, these nine-day voyages offer music as well as seasonal and locally produced crafts and goods. Exclusive to the American Queen holiday sailings this season are Christmas markets along the river as well as special onboard entertainment, strolling carolers in St. Francisville, La. and departure serenades from the levees of Vicksburg and Natchez, Miss.

New Orleans, La. to Memphis, Tenn. Dec. 4 – 12 and Dec. 18 – 26, 2016
Explore the holiday jewels of the Lower Mississippi amid the glittering elegance of the American Queen, and sip on eggnog while listening to the sweet sound of local choirs as they serenade the boat and her guests from the enchanting ports of Vicksburg and Natchez, Miss.

Memphis, Tenn. to New Orleans, La. Dec. 11 – 19, 2016
Take in the beautiful sights and sounds of the gracious towns along the Lower Mississippi and as an exclusive event of this voyage, enjoy a Christmas Ball at the historic Nottoway Plantation in Nottoway, La. The “White Castle of Louisiana” will be adorned with complete Christmas décor and lighting throughout the grounds, public spaces and mansion for this festive evening. Guests may enjoy costumed carolers and dancers as they stroll the gardens and front lawn before entering the mansion for a private dinner featuring a combination of Cajun cuisine.
