AmaWaterways today (22 June) announced the launch of a limited-time offer, giving travelers who book one of the company’s popular Christmas Markets cruise itineraries by July 31, 2017 up to $1,500 off their cruise fare.
The offer brings added affordability to those seeking an unforgettable journey exploring the Christmas magic of Europe’s Danube and Rhine rivers.
AmaWaterways’ Christmas Markets themed cruises are available on four unique itineraries from late November through December 2017, onboard a variety of ships including the company’s newest vessel, AmaKristina.
Travelers can enjoy seven- or 14-night cruises starting at $1,849* per person (cruise only). Pre- and post-cruise land programs – for an added cost – are available with options in Prague on the Danube or Lucerne and Zürich on the Rhine. Guests wishing to embark on the December 23 Rhine sailing will enjoy an AmaWaterways’ special holiday gift – two free nights in Amsterdam.
“The holidays are the most beautiful time of the year to visit Europe, with Christmas Markets, festive decorations, regional delicacies and memorable moments at every port of call,” said Kristin Karst, executive vice president and co-owner of AmaWaterways. “We are delighted to offer guests an incredible value on this year’s Christmas Markets cruises and look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests this holiday season!”
AmaWaterways’ Christmas Markets sailings offer a unique opportunity for travelers who wish to experience the holiday traditions of Old World Europe in a new light. Families, couples and solo travelers – the latter will receive the single supplement waived in place of the discount – will marvel at the fairytale-like beauty of the Danube during wintertime, sailing through Budapest and Vienna – where guests can explore up to six different markets – and one of the world’s most famous Christmas Markets in Nuremberg.
Guests sailing the Rhine will enjoy visits to bustling Christmas markets in Basel, Amsterdam and Strasbourg – as well as the quaint village markets of Riquewihr and Rüdesheim.
AmaWaterways goes above and beyond to make the holidays extra-special for guests, creating a festive feeling with unique shipboard activities including tree-trimming contests, gingerbread decorating, a Captain’s Christmas party, a traditional holiday dinner, carolers and more. Those onboard December 31 will enjoy a special New Year’s Eve gala, followed by spectacular local firework displays.
