Postby HostDave » Tue Aug 25, 2015 8:48 pm

AmaWaterways has announced the debut of its 2015-2017 Myanmar brochure.

The 56-passenger AmaPura cruise ship will take passengers long the Irrawaddy River on two different itineraries, the Golden Treasures of Myanmar and Hidden Wonders of Myanmar, which will feature stops at former royal capitals, ancient monasteries, majestic landmarks and more.

Regardless of which journey booked, the AmaPura cruise ship will help make the trip more enjoyable. Not only does the ship feature 28 suites with balconies, but it also boasts public spaces including a restaurant, main lounge, bar, spa and a sun deck.

If that wasn’t enough to entice customers, guests will enjoy complimentary wine, local beer and soft drinks with every meal onboard. The ship also plays host to cultural shows and lectures that focus on the country the passengers are exploring.

AmaWaterways Executive Vice President and Co-owner Kristin Karst released a statement, saying, “We are so thrilled to welcome travelers aboard AmaPura to explore the wonderful country of Myanmar and all its hidden treasures. The Irrawaddy River is an ideal destination for travelers looking for a getaway beyond the ordinary and with its recent political advancements and developing tourism market, this is the perfect time to visit this unspoiled region.”

On the Golden Treasures of Myanmar itinerary, guests will embark on a 10-day deluxe cruise that leaves from the port city of Pyay before visiting places like the Sri Kestra, Minhla, Salay, Bagan and Mandalay. This trip starts at $4,799 per person.

As for the Hidden Wonders of Myanmar itinerary, this trip is for the hardcore traveler and will be a 14-night journey along the Irrawaddy River. Starting in Mandalay, passengers will travel to cities like Sagaing and Bagan, and will visit several small delta towns before eventually ending the voyage in Yangon. This trip starts at $6,599 per person.
