AmaWaterways Opens Bookings on 2017 River Cruises

Postby HostDave » Mon Dec 14, 2015 8:54 pm

AmaWaterways has announced that its 2017 sailings are now open for booking. The 2017 season will see the debut of a new ship, new Europe and Asia itineraries and enhanced wine-themed sailings.

New Ship: AmaKristina

AmaWaterways' newest ship, the AmaKristina, will sail the Rhine in 2017. The sister ship of AmaViola, AmaKristina will have enhanced staterooms that accommodate more than two guests and connecting cabins. Also, the line’s design team has moved AmaKristina’s massage suite and hair salon down to the lower deck, making room for more highly demanded suites and twin-balcony staterooms. Guests sailing aboard AmaKristina will enjoy AmaWaterways’ existing amenities and services such as the intimate Chef’s Table specialty restaurant, which is included in the cruise fare.

30 Percent More Wine-Themed Cruises

Also in 2017, AmaWaterways will expand its Wine Cruises to 44 departures, the most the line has ever offered. Expert wine hosts, tastings, tours and pairings will await travelers on these itineraries. One example is the Taste of Bordeaux itinerary, a seven-night voyage through France’s Bordeaux region with stops along the Garonne and Dordogne rivers.

Extended Opportunities for European Cruise and Land Vacations

AmaWaterways’ twin-balcony ships (AmaCerto, AmaPrima, AmaSonata, AmaSerena, AmaStella, AmaViola and AmaKristina) are providing more chances for cruising the Danube and Rhine in 2017, with an increased number of sailings along these popular routes. Another new addition to the line’s European itineraries is an optional two-night land extension in Bucharest, letting travelers booking the Gems of Southeast Europe or Grand Danube itineraries enjoy Romania’s historic capital, also known as the “Paris of the East.”

More Options in Southeast Asia

Travelers on AmaDara, which will for the first time sail both directions (Ho Chi Minh City to Siem Reap and vice versa) along the Mekong River, can choose from a new 15-night itinerary that combines a seven-night cruise with land programs in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City; a 10-night itinerary that combines a seven-night cruise with three nights in Siem Reap; or a seven-night cruise along the Mekong. Pricing for Vietnam, Cambodia and the Riches of Mekong starts at $2,399 per person; pricing including both cruise and land starts at $4,598 per person.

Early Booking Incentives

AmaWaterways is providing incentives for guests who book their 2017 travels by July 31, 2016. Travelers will save $1,500 per stateroom on select Wine Cruises, $1,000 per stateroom on any 10- and 14-night sailings or $500 per stateroom on all other seven-night cruises.
