New AmaStella Sets Sail on Maiden Voyage

Postby HostDave » Tue Mar 15, 2016 1:29 pm

On March 10, AmaWaterways celebrated the debut of its newest ship, the 158-passenger AmaStella. The ship set sail on its maiden voyage from Amsterdam to Budapest. After that, it will begin sailing Tulip Time, The Romantic Danube, Melodies of the Danube and Christmas Markets on the Danube itineraries.

AmaStella sports a new design with stateroom configurations built with groups and multi-generational travelers in mind, such as 12 staterooms that can accommodate up to three family members each, or six sets of adjoining cabins that can be connected via an internal doorway, making space for families of up to five. Additionally, four suites with convertible sofa beds can accommodate families of up to four.

In addition to the new room configurations, with AmaStella AmaWaterways has added more twin-balcony (French and outside balconies) staterooms, giving guests more opportunities to enjoy panoramic views. AmaWaterways has also increased the size of the fitness room and salon and massage area, and moved them to the lower deck.

Other amenities include The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant, a sun deck and heated pool with a swim-up bar. Staterooms are also equipped with AmaWaterways’ Entertainment on Demand system, which affords travelers complimentary Internet access, the latest movies, a music library and more. Complimentary unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks are available with lunch and dinner; and complimentary bottled water is provided daily in all staterooms.

Looking ahead, this April will see the debut of the AmaViola, which will host AmaWaterways' first cruises with Adventures by Disney this summer.
