(Dec. 20, 2012) - The AmaSonata and AmaReina are deluxe 164-passenger vessels that incorporate the most advanced river cruise ship design, including Twin Balconies in the majority of their spacious staterooms and suites, which range up to 350 sq. feet. Passengers will enjoy gourmet dining with free-flowing fine wines at multiple onboard dining venues. Other features include a heated sun deck swimming pool with a ‘swim-up’ bar; fitness center and spa; complimentary ship-wide Wi-Fi and in-room Internet and Infotainment; and a fleet of bicycles carried onboard for passengers to enjoy on their own or on guided bike tours. The majority of staterooms on both ships are a spacious 210-235 sq. feet, with four suites measuring 350 sq. feet.
The AmaReina will debut March 16, 2014, cruising the “Magnificent Europe” itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest on the Danube River, before moving to the Rhine for winter season voyages. The AmaSonata will debut April 23, starting with a “Tulip Time” cruise on the Dutch and Belgium Waterways; later, she will serve the “Magnificent Europe” itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest, as well as the “Romantic Danube” cruise from Vilshofen to Budapest.
