American Cruise Lines adds free pre-cruise packages

Postby HostDave » Thu Jan 12, 2017 2:04 pm

Complimentary pre-cruise packages, which began as a short-term promotion in 2016, have been extended into 2017 at American Cruise Lines.

All passengers traveling on the Mississippi and Columbia rivers will get a free pre-cruise package that includes a premium hotel stay and transportation to the ship.

Mississippi cruises from New Orleans offer a selection of hotels including the Omni Riverfront and the InterContinental St. Charles, both located downtown, near the ship's berth and the French Quarter. Passengers arrive a day before their cruise to experience the area, then are transferred to the ship the next morning.

Similar packages are offered in Memphis, St. Louis, St. Paul, Nashville and Pittsburgh.

Passengers on Columbia and Snake rivers cruises receive a free pre-cruise stay in Clarkston, Washington, and have the option to purchase an enhanced package that includes two hotel nights (including the one complimentary night) and a jet boat tour of Hells Canyon. At the hotel, passengers can wake up on the morning of their cruise and view the ship from their window.

Additional packages are planned, including one in the Boston area.
