Viking Cruises has done it again with multi-ship namings across several European cities. It total, a jaw-dropping 18 vessels are being ushered in by Viking in a short five-day stretch.
Tuesday, three Viking Longships were named in Avignon, France, and four were named remotely at the Neptun Werf shipyard in Rostock, Germany. This followed nine Longships named in Amsterdam on Monday and two more Viking river vessels will follow Friday in Porto, Portugal.
'It's quite a week,' Viking Cruises chairman Torstein Hagen said on a gloriously sunny afternoon in Avignon.
All the godmothers are accomplished women, a number of them representing Viking's key travel industry partners.
