Whether tailor-made arrangements organized by the travel concierge service, late afternoon excursions for late risers, or independent exploration – the Shore Excursions staff make cruise passengers' every wish come true. Among the highlights bookable are diving excursions to explore the unique underwater world of Asia.

From January 2014, the EUROPA 2 will be setting sail on course to a range of destinations, including Thailand and Vietnam – two of Asia’s most beautiful diving destinations. Guests on board the EUROPA 2 can discover the unique underwater world during special open water dives. All that is needed first is proof of holding the appropriate qualification. The underwater excursions are led by expert divers from certified diving schools (PADI, CMAS) and can be booked during the cruise through the on-board travel concierge service. The travel concierge is also responsible for putting together custom-made, private excursions as guests require and assists with advice and booking, both before and during the cruise.

"Activity and adventure tours play a major role in EUROPA 2's on-shore programmes. The extensive choice includes canoeing, rafting and horse-riding on Phuket, or excursions in which guests get to know the destinations authentically, for example a cooking class in a local restaurant. In addition we offer more classic excursions such as city tours and visits to nearby sights and attractions, often with a different interpretation - for example a Segway tour through Manila", says Julian Pfitzner, Director Product Management EUROPA 2.

Kids aged between four and ten and teenagers from eleven to 15 explore their surroundings on their own escorted excursions – without parents, naturally. Highlights include trips with the zodiacs and snorkelling in the crystal-clear water of Yalong Bay on the Chinese holiday island of Hainan. There are also special family excursions to cater for the whole family, such as a trip to Vinpearl Land Water Park in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
