“The Europa 2 appeals to sophisticated customers with busy lives, who are looking for individual relaxation in their spare time. The Ocean Spa enables guests to experience holistic well-being and offers an exceptional amount of space for their body, mind and soul,“ says Julian Pfitzner, Director Product Management Europa 2.

“This also involves the numerous health and wellness treatments being carried out by staff members, who have all received training in the field of medicine.“

The 790 m2 (8,503 ft2) spa is on Deck 5. Three separate saunas, one hammam (Turkish steam bath), eight treatment rooms, a Kneipp pool (ice cold water), and a whirlpool are at the disposal of the guests. Another highlight in the wellness area is the Personal SPA, a private area that can be booked by guests. It can be booked by the hour or by the day, and features facilities such as its own sauna and a separate whirlpool.

Treatments from Ayurveda to Shiatsu
Medically-trained masseurs, physiotherapists and beauticians offer guests a comprehensive range of massages and treatments – from classic, partial, and full body massages with popular treatments such as Ayurveda (Hindu massage therapy), hot stone, thalasso (sea weed) and shiatsu, to exotic treatments such as lomi lomi, a traditional Hawaiian oil massage. Also, a number of beauty treatments, such as hair styling, manicures, and pedicures are available for men and women.

Physically active on board the Europa 2
Guests will enjoy breathtaking ocean views as they work out in the fitness studio, measuring more than 200 m2 (2,153 ft2). Equipment includes bikes, treadmills and elliptical machines, offering low and high impact workouts.

There is also state of the art equipment, including kinesis walls by the manufacturer Technogym, Miha bodytec ensuring the quick development of muscles or efficient fat reduction supported by electric impulse, and “body point” the revolutionary ultrasound treatment that reduces fat deposits in a gentle manner. Another innovative method that allows the guests to purposefully shape their body is Hypoxi – a combination of positive and negative pressure with specific exercises.

Personal trainer for individual Fitness
On request, the personal trainers will compile individual exercise programs for guests seeking professional one-on-one guidance. Starting this year, the Europa 2 also offers a new on-board fitness program designed by German Olympic skiing star Maria Höfl-Riesch. The exclusively program, BE.YOU, includes a personal body analysis, the results of which will be used to devise an individual training and nutritional program for participants. Germany’s most successful Winter Olympian Maria Höfl-Riesch will also join several cruises throughout the year and train alongside guests.

Sports programs ashore
Ashore, guests can enjoy bike tours, which are accompanied by the Europa 2 on-board bike guide. Sport hosts also organize programs such as Nordic walking and yoga on the beach.

State-of-the-art golf simulator
An important note for golf enthusiasts: At a simulator with state-of-the-art technology, guests can virtually play on renowned golf courses around the globe. The guests are also supported by an experienced golf professional. Select voyages of the Europa 2 are designated golf cruises and take guests to exclusive golf courses. A PGA golf professional is on board every voyage.
