American Queen Resumes Sailing After Repairs

The American Queen sailed from Nashville a day late following what the American Queen Steamboat Co. said were minor repairs after 'grazing a rock' Saturday morning on the Cumberland River.

The paddlewheeler departed Sunday afternoon at 3 following clearance to sail by the US Coast Guard, the company said in a statement.

Passengers for the cruise to Chattanooga were able to embark on time while the repairs were made.

American Queen had been due to depart Nashville late Saturday afternoon.
